Mr. Andrew Rice is Senior Vice President of International Business at Jordan Industries, Inc. (JII), a Chicago based private diversified company.  Mr. Rice closed his first deal (JV) in China in 1995.  During the past 10 years, JII has done 10 investments in China, including acquisitions, JVs and Greenfield wholly-owned operations.

JII together with its affiliate, The Jordan Company (“TJC”), has combined sales of more than $7 billion.  Until 2005, JII’s efforts in China were primarily to support existing portfolio companies, either to establish low cost manufacturing or to serve the growing China market.  Recently, JII and TJC made the strategic decision to invest $300-$500mm in stand-alone investments in China over the next 5-7 years.
