Blair Closes $45M
Pensar Sale to LaBarge

William Blair & Company announces the success of its client, Pensar Electronic Solutions, LLC, in connection with its sale to LaBarge, Inc. for $45 million in cash, with potential for additional consideration to be paid upon achievement of certain earn-out targets. William Blair & Company served as financial advisor to Pensar for the transaction.

Pensar is a leading provider of low- to medium-volume, high-mix outsourced electronic solutions across a diverse range of end-markets, including the medical, industrial, and transportation segments. Pensar designs, manufactures, and assembles a broad array of complex, fully finished and tested electrical assemblies for original-equipment manufacturers. According to a December 2008 press release, Pensar's Appleton, Wisconsin, facility will operate under the LaBarge name.

LaBarge engages in the design, manufacture, and assistance of electronic, electromechanical, and interconnect systems on a contract basis in the United States. The company provides electronic system solutions, including interconnect systems, circuit card assemblies, and high-level assemblies. LaBarge serves customers in a variety of markets, including defense, aerospace, natural resources, industrial, medical, and other commercial markets. Based in St. Louis, LaBarge has operations in Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Texas.
