KRG Capital Partners LLC (KRG) has acquired Focus Corporation Ltd (Focus), a multidisciplinary consulting firm based in Edmonton, Alberta. Transaction terms were not disclosed.

RSM EquiCo Capital Markets initiated the transaction, led the negotiations and acted as exclusive financial advisor to Focus.Since its inception in 1977, Focus has grown in terms of services provided and range of expertise. Today, the company is recognized as one of industry's safest contractors, providing its clients with planning, civil and environmental engineering, land surveying, mapping, land management, consulting and project management services.

Focus also provides advanced geomatics services including global positioning technologies, geographic information systems, digital mapping and remote sensing, 3-D laser scanning, as well as software and application development.

Focus employs over 500 professionals and has offices located in strategic markets throughout Western Canada and select areas of the world. The company's wholly owned subsidiaries include HCS Focus, a unionized surveying firm, and CMS Focus, a construction management and inspection firm. Focus is a year 2002, 2003 and 2004 winner of Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies Program, and has been recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in Alberta in 2002, 2003 and 2005.
