Arch Aluminum & Glass Company Acquires Trulite Industries, Ltd.

Arch Aluminum & Glass Company, a private company specializing in the architectural glass products industry, has acquired Trulite Industries, Ltd., a privately held glass fabricator and distributor. Transaction terms were not disclosed.

RSM EquiCo Capital Markets initiated the transaction, led the negotiations and acted as exclusive financial advisor to Trulite Industries.

Trulite Industries, Ltd. , founded in January 1975, operates two properties totaling 128,000-square-feet of floor space in Mississauga, Ontario. The company, which employs 95 people, is one of the largest and most respected independent glass fabricators in Canada. Trulite manufactures commercial insulated glass-sealed units, tempered glass, spandrel glass, cut-size glass, and as a glass distributor supplies a myriad of products to residential sealed-unit fabricators, glass fabricators, and glazing shops. Trulite Industries has supplied product for highly visible projects in several major cities, including the main terminal at the new Toronto Airport, Boston Convention Centre, Pittsburgh Steelers football stadium, and Chrysler Pyramids project in Manhattan. Trulite Industries-which operates the first fully automated, fully computerized Canadian plant of its type- employs state-of-the-art production methods, which allows input in all phases of a client project, including planning, architectural and engineering stages, as well as the manufacture and delivery of products. The company's Distribution Division supplies virtually every product available to the glass industry through the use of specialized trucks and a customer pick-up facility.

Arch Aluminum & Glass Company, headquartered near Miami, Fla., is one of North America's largest architectural glass and aluminum fabricators and distributors, with 25 locations throughout the United States. Arch has created a total-system approach to satisfy any architectural glazing requirement. Arch Aluminum is a premier family-owned U.S. glass fabricator with over 25 years of experience in glass and glazing products. Arch provides consistency, quality, and expertise in the industry. The company supplies glass, aluminum, mirror, laminated and decorative glass, and manufactures architectural aluminum systems, including storefront, curtainwall, entrance and impact material.

There are several new technological developments in all facets of the business, including glass making, glass coating and glass fabrication. The results are new glass products in multiple combinations that give architects, builders and owners high-performing insulated glass units within short-term delivery time frames. This acquisition allows Arch to continue its expansion strategy and provides an outstanding entrance into the Canadian marketplace, which will be a new channel for its full line of offerings.
